Nine Principles for a Successful Marriage and Family

https://www.lds.org/ensign/2013/06/nine-principles-for-a-successful-marriage-and-family?lang=eng

I really enjoyed this article. I liked that it went through each point on how to create a successful marriage and family from the Family Proclamation to the world. One of the quotes that really stuck out to me was on faith. Elder Pearson said that, "We can give our children education, lessons, athletics, the arts, and material possessions, but if we do not give them faith in Christ, we have given little." I really believe this to be true. I think one of the most important things my parents helped me with was my testimony of Christ. I know that they did their best to teach me the correct principles of the gospel. I think the principle that was taught about repentance is very true, that today will always be a better day to repent than tomorrow.

There are so many other things in this talk that I enjoyed, but I'd like to hear what you all have to say! Please read this amazing article from the Ensign and let me know what you think! :)

  1. I love the idea of not involving your children in so many activities. Sometimes, parents forget that what their children need most is their time, and unstructured time to play and use their imaginations.
